Maura grew up in Baltimore with a house full of pets - everything from a cat to a cherry head red-footed tortoise (Rexie is pictured above). As she continued through school, her passion for animals combined with her passion for science, fueling her ambitious curiosity. With her Biology degree from Eckerd College, it only made sense to pursue a career where she could do both. Maura joined our assistant team after she graduated in 2020. Since then she has grown her vetmed knowledge and skills, and excels in compassionate patient care.

In her free time, Maura loves studying Japanese culture (even studied abroad in Japan!), creating fun art projects, and spending quality time with friends and family.
