Veterinary Emergency Services

If you are experiencing an emergency during our normal business hours, please call our office at 410-256-4888 and select option 1. We will make every effort to see your pet, and if we cannot, we will refer you to a walk-in or emergency clinic.

After business hours we refer to Animal Emergency Hospital (410-420-7297) in Bel Air or Pet+ER in Townson (410-441-3304), and will follow up with your pet’s status the following day.

Many situations constitute an emergency, but call us immediately if your pet is:

  • Bleeding

  • Having trouble breathing

  • Unable to walk or put weight on a limb

  • Injured after being hit by a car

  • Injured after falling from a tall height

  • Unconscious

  • Having a seizure or fainting

  • Vomiting repeatedly or dry heaving

  • Has a bloated or distended abdomen

  • Has eaten something poisonous or dangerous

  • Unable to open an eye or has an eye injury

  • Not able to urinate or defecate

  • Having extended labor (longer than a half-hour)
