Dr. Katherine Hatzigiannakis, aka "Dr. H," has been with PHAH since 2018. She earned her DVM in 2014 from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA, after doing the majority of her undergraduate work at Towson University. Dr. H has been involved in all levels of veterinary medicine, since her career started as an assistant in 2001. She went on to earn her RVT/LVT licensure after graduating from CCBC in 2005 with an AA in Veterinary Technology. Dr. H worked as a technician for 9 years before taking the plunge into vet school! 

Dr. H has years of experience in small animal general practice, as well as time spent providing spay and neuter services with local shelters. Dr. H’s interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and cytology evaluation. Her pet family at home includes her three dogs: Veruca (Chihuahua), Mishra (Chihuahua), and Hippo (pictured, Boston Terrier). She also cares for two snakes: a corn snake and a Western hognose.

Fun facts:

-Dr. H's first foray to college was at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. She still paints and draws when time allows!

-Dr. H enjoys playing video games, including VR gaming and RPG's.

-Dr. H is currently studying Middle Egyptian, the hieroglyphic language of Ancient Egypt!
