Cheryl joined PHAH’s team in 2020. Her primary interests lie in feline medicine and behavior, although she is always interested to learn new things about the profession in general. She has been in the veterinary field since the early 2000's after she started working as a kennel attendant in a small animal practice during college. Cheryl earned her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2003, passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam in the same year, and ultimately becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nebraska. In 2008 she moved from Nebraska to Maryland to pursue her career further and has worked in general practice locally before coming to PHAH.
In her free time, she enjoys performing music on flute and piccolo in the Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra, a community organization she also helps to manage, as well as attending various concerts, festivals, and other gatherings with friends. At home, she has two rescued cats, a calico DSH named Ryoko, and a Ragdoll named Mystryl (pictured).
