Registered Veterinary Technician

Cheryl Carr

Cheryl joined PHAH’s team in 2020. Her primary interests lie in feline medicine and behavior, although she is always interested to learn new things about the profession in general. She has been in the veterinary field since late 2000 after she started working as a kennel attendant in a small animal practice during college, earning a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2003, passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam in the same year, and ultimately becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nebraska. In 2008, she moved from Nebraska to Maryland to pursue her career further and has worked at a couple of other practices in the area as an RVT before coming to PHAH.

In her free time, she enjoys performing music on flute and piccolo in the Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra, a community organization she also helps to manage, as well as attending various concerts, festivals, and other gatherings with friends. At home, she has two rescued cats, a calico DSH named Ryoko, and a Ragdoll named Mystryl (pictured, note: Mystryl is not angry/annoyed, that’s just her face!).
